“this car was made for jay walkers in mind, just let them try to get away! This model also come with a glass bottom in mind, to see if they was a friend of yours.” Boy i can really use a car with that feature !!!

Mrmatteo08 on 6 May, 2008 at 2:53 pm #

nice cartoon….

curlytoes79 on 10 May, 2008 at 1:35 am #

Uh, left, right, left, uh, straight ahead, uhhhh….

ACcountryFan on 13 May, 2008 at 7:56 am #

i’m one of the fortunate ones who has Boomerang and that is where all of these cartoons have been sent to. their slogan “it’s all coming back to you” refers to classics that have been removed from network television, originally sent to Cartoon Network, then they sent them to Boomerang where they’ve been ever since.

ACcountryFan on 13 May, 2008 at 1:45 pm #

yes, this cartoon is from the legendary director, Tex Avery, who brought Droopy to life and Red Hot Riding Hood/Swing Shift Cinderella/Little Rural Riding Hood. this was in a series of cartoons spoofing the future…there are others which are here on You Tube, “House of Tomorrow”, “Farm of Tomorrow”. The ACME Hour was a series composed of classic cartoons from Warner Brothers and MGM…not a lot of people realize that all of those Looney Tunes we watched growing up were made in the 40s and 50s.

NikkiSweett on 14 May, 2008 at 5:13 pm #

Aww, good old fashioned sexism.

kobun37 on 17 May, 2008 at 11:49 am #

This is an actual 50s cartoon. I remember seeing it when they used to show the old WB and MGM cartoons on Saturday morning.

WatWarrior22 on 18 May, 2008 at 5:56 pm #

EquusPL on 25 May, 2008 at 8:24 pm #

I wonder if this would be today considered politically incorrect by feminist activists.

blackchaosgirl on 29 May, 2008 at 3:48 am #

The sexist comments are great…Love the ‘turning right’ part. xD

MalakyteBlackheart on 29 May, 2008 at 11:27 am #

LMAO Best part.

bigjermini on 31 May, 2008 at 5:05 am #

i love the last car. “only $545 of course with accessories… $8,455.69″ The price with accessories is still pretty good for todays prices any way, and the 545 is a steal for a new car probably was back then too.

Paulmart06 on 1 June, 2008 at 3:07 am #

These new bumpers were built with padestrians inmind. Just let them try to get away! haha

mrjynx23 on 5 June, 2008 at 3:27 am #

so were these spoofs of 50s cartoons or, actual 50s cartoons?

andyjay729 on 7 June, 2008 at 7:35 am #

Was that June Foray doing the women’s turn signal?

BeigeFunk on 10 June, 2008 at 6:35 pm #

that car at 1:40 has a **** back! ;)

Ghost8atGhost8sWorld on 11 June, 2008 at 3:43 am #

The pedestrian thing was super funny but I never realized how sexist these cartoons were before. Out of how many looney tunes they have there was only one original female–Petunia Pig. but I don’t think she got a cartoon featuring just her.

meandu4ever101 on 15 June, 2008 at 8:05 am #

ong i love the car of tomarrow and the house of tomarrow 2

genestarwindjf80 on 15 June, 2008 at 7:11 pm #

I LOVE THE HUMOR WITH TEX AVERY! Was he the one that created Bugs Bunny line “Whats up Doc?”
