I am an atheist and I find Anberlin’s music to be absolutely amazing. They have very few songs that really reference the Bible or any religious ideas. Fin and Miserable Visu are their only songs that really discuss religion at all in my opinion. Even then, the lyrics aren’t exactly praising God or anything, they are simply telling a story that has real-world values and ideals to it. As an atheist, I can appreciate their art on an intellectual level. Anberlin rocks.

This is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard. Anberlin is an amazing band, it’s a shame that they haven’t gotten more exposure. I don’t normally care at all about lyrics but Stephen Christian is an amazing lyricist and vocalist. Everybody in the world should listen to this song at least once. Very beautiful and powerful. Hats off Anberlin.

anberlin and their music is not about religion. yes they are religious, but they have said it before and will probably say it again, that they are not a christian band. so people, talk about what is important,
like how fucking amazing this video is. you honestly dont see many like this these days.

No, it doesn’t dictate your life, and yes it is a guideline. Who said that anyway? I mean, I said it wrong in my other post, sorry. Anyone can believe in Jesus… But it goes deeper than that, I believe. I mean, for christians, as you say, if Jesus isn’t our savior and if christians don’t believe that.. or anyone outside who might view it like that, then what exactly is Jesus?

If your listenin to a band based in christian vibes and lyrics then let it sink if you are open to it, rather than get offended right away.
